| | @poloche54 You are a teacher/You teach of letter (we don't say this, usually it's included in 'literature'), isn't it/aren't you? (you used the 3rd person of the singular, but you are asking a direct question, so you need the 2nd person of the singular) You are teaching in college, high school, university... ? |

Thank you for your answer, @Poloche54!
Indeed, your job is not always easy, but I think it's interesting when you like it!
I have good memories of my french lessons in college ( excepted the grammar... My black beast!) and I love some books studied in it/them/those classes and in highschool...
Also, I have passed a literaly/literary? graduate in 2014
My studies (during) this year are not what I really want: now I work/I study for an exam in May 2015 and I do voluntary work in an associative restaurant the morning |

One of her kidney's/kidneys'/kidneys is dead, the other one is dying so she's under/on morphine at the vet but we should have her at home this week-end
I've been learning how to drive for a few weeks now which is why I have my last hours today (I'll be in "conduite accompagnée"/accompanied driving(but it's not exaclty the same concept, people in England can get a 'provisional licence' without any tests and go driving with a parent immediately and never take lessons) tomorrow !). But I'm studying French right now, I have the "bac blanc"/mock (final) exam next week !
Your dog is just too cute |

Oh, really?
I have always ear/heard than/t "high school" is (for) "lycée in english of England lessons ( huuu, what I write (you only need 1 't' -> a vowel followed by double conconants is 'short' like in written ; a vowel followed by single consonant in long like in 'wirte') is very strange... Do you know what I mean? I wanna say "the english speaked/spoken in England but not in America")
Then...What's the good word for "lycée" ? |
|
|
There isn't a correct word because the school systems are too different
You could say 'the french equivalent of 6th form', but they only have 2 years in 6th form, so it's not exactly the same

| | @Skan38 come back!
No one is bilingual, here, except @Djebeldesierra! I'm not good in english, my oral for the graduate (what do you mean? 'a graduate' in american english is a person who has graduated from high school; in english english, it is a person who has graduated from university; I think you mean for the baccalaureate exam?) was like the Malouine's war: terrible! And my grammer is like Patrick Sébastien: incredible by his nullity
But I try, I have nothing to lose but a lot to win!
My computer doesn't like english... I never see so much/many red highlighted words |
|
|
Your english isn't bad at all
Of course there are mistakes but getting to a point where you do make many or any is very very difficult and long !
Melotocomp
Do you have family in England then ? Where is your mom from ?
Even native speakers make mistakes !!

Meloncotonmp I think that the examiner doesn't/wouldn't say the same thing/agree... But, the written test ( that's right, this word? Yes it is ) was easier and I had 14/20 in English, all in all Saved by my pen!
You should have a good level! We have always things to learn And it's fantastic, for me!
Recently, I'm trying to learn swedish... It's a very intersting language too |

Poloche, I completely agree, being understood and understanding is all you need !
I was born in Oxford, but I currently study in Southampton. Usually I live in France though. I don't ride here, it's very expensive £20/lesson... I tried it and was put in the 'advanced' class and was always bored because some of the girls were even scared to canter...
And you're not allowed to brush or tack your own horse, staff do it for you, even if you say that you have experience...
Not enjoyable in my personal opinion
